Why today is not a holiday

Some bloggers are taking a break on July 4 because it's a holiday.

Of course, it's only a holiday in the United States.

And while my blog primarily gets its traffic from the United States, there's a good reason for U.S. business bloggers to write posts on July 4.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, there are over 311 million people in the United States.

However, there are over 6.946 billion people in the world, according to those same estimates.

So while some of us may not be working, it's just another work day to 95% of the world's population.

Something to think about.
