Follow-up to my Tuesday post.
I was clearing out old emails at work, and I found this gem. I had just submitted a proposal to a customer that was due on the 15th of the month. On the 16th, one of our company's executives got an email that started as follows:
You may have seen the recent RFP issued by [CUSTOMER]...
The email then went on to state the vendor's ability to subcontract to us.
I replied:
Inasmuch as [CUSTOMER] has an aggressive schedule, I don't think that we'd want to use a supplier who doesn't make his offer until the day AFTER the proposals were due.
